Layer Marney Tower is England’s tallest Tudor gatehouse. This venue offers magnificent views to the Blackwater estuary and beyond. Situated in the heart of north Essex, this magnificent tower is surrounded by tranquil gardens, stables and period buildings. 

Wedding ceremonies can be held in the Corsellis Room with up to 120 guests. 

The Long Gallery is available for wedding receptions, banquets and private parties throughout the year. 

Our services… 

Civil Ceremony Music 

The Corsellis room is situated on the first floor, and had original wattle and daub walls and polished oak flooring. For larger ceremony’s a small discrete PA system and CD player will be provided and manned by a member of our staff during your ceremony. The music of your choice will be played at the arrival of your guests, procession, signing of the register and the recessional. A microphone and stand can be added for all your guests to here the ceremony take place. Wireless tie clip microphones are also available. 

Cocktail DJ 

This creates the perfect atmosphere while photographs are being taken, drinks being poured and canapés being served. The tranquil and traditional garden area is the perfect setting for your drinks reception. Your own personal DJ will to play music to suit your requirements. He will DJ in such a way that it will be perfectly mixed and seamless, playing through a discreet sound system. Popular selections and music we find works well are…  Modern Jazz, Smooth Grooves, Funk, Soul, Classic Remixes, Chill Out, Funky House (Head kandi), Smooth D&B and even Classical. This service is a perfect alternative to a string quartet or Jazz band. 

Complete Wedding DJ & Disco

 The Long Gallery is perfect for your wedding breakfast and evening reception. We are able to position our sound and lighting equipment either to one side or in front of the magnificent large period window. You will see from the pictures that our DJ can work from here to provide you with back ground music throughout your wedding breakfast and provide a microphone for your speeches. Our DJ’s are experienced and skilled to making sure that everybody will enjoy the complete mix of music played. He will play the correct styles of music to suit the atmosphere and time of night throughout the evening reception. You and your guests can be sureto party and celebrate the night away.

Up-lighting 

The typically English architecture and period features of the Long Gallery lend themselves for up-lighting to enhance that ‘wow’ factor. We can create a fantastic atmosphere here, using these compact and tidy units.

They can be carefully positioned to look great on the sides of pillars, the grand fireplace and best of all to emphasize the large far end window.
