We are very pleased to announce that we will be attending the Hengrave Hall Wedding Viewing Day on Sunday 20th March. We are proud to be personally recommended and exclusive suppliers for DJ & disco entertainment at this amazing venue located north of Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk.
Between 11am – 4pm guests will be able to view the hall, church and gardens at their leisure. The house will be set up as if for a wedding and as well as other preferred suppliers, we will be on hand to discuss our DJ services plus the sound and lighting options.

If you think back to December, you will think Christmas, cold weather and…..lots of snow especially on Saturday 18th! Our lighting hire services were booked on this date for a winter wedding taking place at Layer Marney Tower in Colchester, Essex. Our clients wanted a warm feel to the lighting to reflect the Christmas theme and rich red colours they had chosen.
The photographers for the day were our very good friends Craig & Kate from Craig Williams Photography. They have kindly provided us with some shots of the Long Gallery before and during the wedding breakfast and evening party. I think you will agree the room looked amazing!! 
Here’s what we provided
14x ‘Gold’ Up Lighters - With a warm glow these small units were placed around the room and complemented the period features and decoration.
3x Red LED bars – Placed in the large window and the end of room these bars created a feature of the window
2x Red LED bars – Placed on top of the giant fireplace to add a slash of colour in the middle of the room
Our clients were very pleased with the overall effect that we had created. A big thank you to Craig & Kate for taking the time out to take these pictures for us. You guys rock!
When it comes to working alongside other entertainment in the past we have sometimes found it tricky with communication about set timings, play lists and logistic of sound and lighting equipment. Unit now……..!
Saturday 29th January our DJ Dave Drane provided our dedicated DJ & disco service at our home from home, the amazing Hengrave Hall in Bury St. Edmunds. Our clients had also book The Mesh, a 4-piece function band fronted by lead singer Adam.
It was such a pleasure to working alongside other professional, skilled and talented wedding performers. Dave started the night with the first dance and some classic floor-fillers and The Mesh preformed 4 sets in-between. The music selection flowed very well and the dance floor was packed all night.
We are pleased to say we have found a function band that we would definitely recommend and we look forward to working with Adam and The Mesh again in the future. More information can be found about the band on their website www.themeshband.co.uk.
We are pleased to announce that we are exhibiting our DJ & disco services at the ECN Colchester Gazette Wedding Fair. The first of 2011, on Sunday 6th February, in Charter Hall Colchester, Essex, between 10.00am & 4.00pm. We look forward to meeting many potential clients on the day.
Saturday 8th January saw us provide our Complete Evening DJ & Disco Service at the prestigious Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket, Suffolk. This was our first visit to this amazing and historic venue and our DJ Dave was made to feel very welcome by Victoria and all the events staff here.

We must tell you about the amazing wedding we were able to provide our services to on New Year’s Eve at Hengrave Hall, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk.
Our clients Victoria & Chris (the now new Mr & Mrs Cobb!) wanted a stylish and classic look to the lighting with a warm feeling, as this suited their wedding theme and colours.
We were able to do this by providing our Gold Up-Lighting service in The Long Gallery throughout the wedding breakfast and into the evening. These small units were placed around the room and included a warm coloured lamp. You will see from the pictures below that the Up-Lighting really enhanced the period features and gave the room and real wow factor. Victoria was speechless when she walked into the room just before the wedding breakfast . We were able to continue the theme into The Banqueting Hall where we setup our sound and lighting equipment for the evening party. We replaced our usual coloured LED Up-Lighters for more warm golden ones and left the ‘disco’ dance-floor lights on warm colours thought the evening. We also provided our additional hire of a LCD screen in the bar area for a slideshow of family & friends pictures to be played.
Our DJ Paul kept the guests dancing all through the night and the new year was welcomed in at midnight with fireworks. It was a truly magical wedding and we have received a fantastic comment from the bride Victoria on our FaceBook page…

We pride ourselves on being very interactive and like to keep everyone updated with what’s new and been going on with us. This weekend saw the completion of the works being carried out at our office and warehouse.
For 18 months now we have been based at our dedicated business premises in north Essex, east of Colchester. Our ‘Dreamwave HQ’ has been well received when meeting with both potential and booked clients so we decided to expand our office area to create a more workable environment for the day to day running of the business, with the additional new build of a meeting room to chat and meet with clients and suppliers.
Our new meeting room has a been designed to create a bridal lounge feel with a fresh and modern style. We are able to show our latest equipment setups and gallery pictures on the LCD screen and sit and discuss client requirements over a coffee or two
We recently provided our Cocktail DJ Services for a 40th wedding anniversary at The Assembly Rooms in Dedham on the Essex, Suffolk border.
When our clients approached us they were not looking for a ‘traditional mobile disco’ for the intimate celebration of their anniversary. They wanted some light background music while guests were arriving, through the drinks reception and continuing this through the sit-down meal and coffee.
Our Cocktail DJ service was perfect for this. Our DJ Paul was able to set up a small and discreet sound system plus control booth on a raised gallery at one end the room. He played a mixture of classic and piano Jazz throughout the drinks reception and progressed the music to modern artists like Michael Buble, Jamie Cullum & Stacey Kent, along with a mixture of our clients favourite tracks from years gone by.
The evening was very much enjoyed be all that attended this celebration and our service was very highly complimented.
