This weekend saw our DJ Martin Cooper providing our Complete Wedding DJ & Disco Service at the Masonic Lodge in Kirby Le Soken. For the wedding of Charlotte & Tom Westow.

They had also booked 12x of our up-lighters to enhance the room where guests were taking their wedding breakfast. Charlotte and mother of the bride Sue were ‘over the moon’ with how the gold colour matched in with the theme. Martin had a great night and entertained all the different age groups at the celebration. He especially enjoyed playing a number of the bride and grooms request from the late 90’s and 2000’s old skool garage!

A few days ago we took advantage of this amazing weather we are having and arranged a photo shoot with our great friends Craig & Kate Photography. We just love Craig & Kate’s unique style and creative ideas. When they asked us all to head into the corn field opposite our office we had every faith the shoot was going to be a success.

A special song picked by the bride & groom to take their first dance as husband & wife is magical. Followed by a second request, this is a great way to fill the dance floor with all your family and friends. A perfect way to start off the evening party!!

Sunday 18^th July was the launch party for the expansion at our good friends Abigail Collection, Wedding & Bridesmaid Dresses & Menswear Hire in Colchester. They have expanded to the ground floor and now have the most amazing window display, reception area and additional rooms, making the Abigail’s experience span 2300 sq feet and over 4 floors!!

Our DJ Dave was asked to provide our Cocktail DJ service to entertain all the invited guests with a upbeat funky feel. You will see from the pictures below our discreet small DJ system fitting perfect in the reception area. Dave play a selection of smooth Chillout, Jazz and Hed Kandi and received many good comments on the style of music played.

We also provide a bubble machine to catch everyone’s eye as they made their way up the Colchester High Street. And a 42” screen so pictures of the expansion could be shown in the new mother of the bride room. Dave was also joined N’swana (a member of Abigail’s team) who sang some brilliant songs.

A big thank you to Abi, Rob and the team for a wicked day! We wish you all the best with the new expansion.

Our DJ Dave Drane provided our DJ only service to our good friends at Reveries Events for a corporate summer ball with a ‘Back to Skool’ theme on Thursday 1st July. Dave was dressed up as the head boy (well, a scruffy version, with his tie round his head and shirt not tucked in!).

The event was for TUI travel, at Race course in Sussex.  Reveries had put the event on and took control of the drapery, up-lighting, dance-floor effects and props. John from Reveries and his clients were very pleased and impressed with Dave’s enthusiastic approach to entertain the 400 guests at the event. The dance-floor was packed all night as Dave played a mixture of classic school disco tracks, new club, RnB and pop songs.

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to accepted card payments at our office and over the phone.

This great move forward is already proving very beneficial when clients come to paying their outstanding balance and wish to add additional extra to the services booked. For more information please call us at the office.

We are pleased to announce that we are exhibiting at the ECN Colchester Gazette Wedding Fair. This Summer wedding show for 2010 will be held on Sunday 13th June, in Charter Hall Colchester, between 10.00am & 4.00pm.

A wedding preview day will be held on Sunday 28th March from 10am – 4pm to showcase Hylands House in all its wedding glory.
Dreamwave Events will be there along with other suppliers to chat with you and to answer any questions about planning your wedding at this amazing venue in Chelmsford.
