How we started

Having been friends for a number of years, Paul & Dave realized they both had the same enthusiasm and drive within their own companies, so it made sense to combine their resources, contacts and experience together to create Dreamwave Events in 2008.  They felt there was a strong requirement within the wedding and party industry for a contemporary and stylish DJ, Disco and events company.

Both Paul & Dave have been DJing for over 12 years and have performed at a vast variety of different functions, including some of the most prestigious venues in the UK and Europe.  Their enthusiastic approach to their work is reflected not only in their DJing skills but also in the day to day running of Dreamwave Events.  In 2009 Martin & Richard joined the DJ team.  They joined with a great experience of the entertainment industry and have the same high standards of customer service and passion for DJing as Paul & Dave. 

Where we are now

Providing DJ & Disco services for weddings and private events, we cover mainly throughout the Essex and Suffolk counties plus Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and the London area. Based in our dedicated business premises in north Essex between Clacton-on-Sea and Colchester, we operate from our office and large warehouse space.

In late 2010 we also added our new meeting room within our premises, built and designed especially for chatting to potential and existing clients.  We find this invaluable as part of the personal service we provide.  Here we can chat about clients plans for their wedding day or special event in a relaxed, comfy atmosphere over a coffee or two. 

Due to the high standard of service we provide, we have established great working relationships with many of the industries finest venues and suppliers as can be seen from our venues page and links to our friends.

All our sound and lighting equipment is safety certificated (PAT tested) and all our equipment is of recognized brand and quality. Our sound systems can be provided for a variety of functions from small PA for speeches, to large disco sound systems and outdoor events. All systems are of clear sound quality.  Our Lighting can be tailored to your requirements from the classic mirror ball effect to state of the art intelligent DMX moving heads and lasers. Wireless microphones, LED up lighters, and effects (pyrotechnics) are also available.  These can all be found in our online downloadable pricelist.

Where we are going

Above all we will continue to maintain our high level of service, listen to our customers requirements and most importantly keep people dancing! Dreamwave Events stock of ‘wow’ factor additional extras is always increasing and we are always looking for new innovative ideas to keep our business at the forefront of the wedding and party industry.
